Additional Information
This is clearly the worksheet of a codebreaker. This can be derived, not only from the fact that the lines of code are only partly decrypted, but also from the various code-sequences scribbeld in the margin with identical codegroups in the middle. Th e handwriting seems to indicate that thisis document is probaly late Tudor or early Stuart in origin, but except for Thomas Phelippes who worked for Walshingham, no
other codebreakers from this period are known.
