Additional Information

This document is a copy of a letter from Sigismund Kurtz von Senftenau to the Count von Schwarzenberg (probably Johan Adolph I.). This copy was sent to Maximilian von Trauttmansdorff.

The reconstructed key contains homophonic substitution, bigrams (one ciphertext character for one bigram) and nulls. The ciphertext characters are mostly numeric, less alphabetic (more Latin and less Greek alphabet) and there are also a few graphic signs. The language of the cleartext and the plaintext is German, but the text also contains a lot of Latin phrases or words.
