Additional Information
simple substitution cipher with small nomenclature, consisting of roughly 100 items. A list of geographical names is represented by numerals; a list of dignitaries by capitals. From a marginal note, I get the impression that this cipher was handed to Sir Thomas Bodley on his departure from Flanders in 1597 on behalf of a future assignment in Italy or Spain, that did not went through. Could the name "Swaby"mentioned in the index, be a pseudonym?
