Additional Information

The image is not in the public domain. Publishing it is only possible with the permission of the Library.

(Satoshi Tomokiyo, 17 September 2023) This is an extract of ciphered segments from a partially enciphered letter. The full letter not found in Patrick Forbes (1740), A Full View Of The Public Transactions In the Riegn of Q. Elisabeth (Google) around p.156. What I call "Throckmorton's Cipher 1" is used. The ciphertext in the margin (about half of the sheet) is unidentified.
