Additional Information
Date and origin of this letter, its sender and its destination could only be derived from its place in the archive of Stadholder William V and the cipher which was almost exclusivley used by the the hereditary prince, during his exile in Berlin and his parents in London between 1796 and 1799. The letter is unsolved, but the cipher is described in detail in 2001 in Cryptologia by Karl de Leeuw in: Johann Friedrich Euler (1741-1800), Mathamtician and Cryptologist,(pp. 256-274).
